Why should I have a PCP? We advise you to plan ahead and schedule an appointment to see your new physician to become an established patient of the practice before you have an acute illness or injury and prior to requesting a referral or medication refill. If you become ill, it is up to the individual provider as to when you can be seen or if you would be referred to an outside source if you were not an established patient. The PCP is not responsible for your care until you have been officially established with the practice. Where can I find a listing of PCPs included in the OSU network? What if I am unhappy with my current PCP? If you need to file a complaint about a PCP in the university medical plan network, you may submit a Member Concern Form found at http://www.osumhcs.com/plan/forms.asp#MemberConcernRecord, or you may call OSU Managed Health Care Systems at (614) 292-4700 or (800) 678-6269 to have a Member Concern Form mailed to you. | |||||
