OSU MHCS Support Programs
The Faculty and Staff Wellness Program
The Ohio State University Faculty and Staff Wellness Program has been designed to improve the health status and enhance the quality of work life for the university community. It increases employee awareness of health risk and promotes appropriate utilization of benefit resources. In addition, the program enhances the patient/provider/OSU MHCS relationship and provides a tool for health care cost containment via education, intervention and triage.
The Faculty & Staff Assistance Program
The Ohio State University Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (UFSAP) offers OSU faculty and staff confidential counseling services, including consultation, assessment and referrals, brief counseling, progress monitoring, after-treatment review, and education/training. Relationship and workplace issues represent the largest volume of requests for UFSAP services, but UFSAP is able to address other problems, such as:
- stress and emotional disturbances
- marital and family issues
- alcohol and other drug misuse and dependency
- financial and legal concern referrals
- child or eldercare referrals
- and other concerns which may cause personal distress and result in deterioration of workplace performance.
All UFSAP services are free, voluntary and confidential.
